Day Two

I am thankful for my parents.  I love them and I love what great grandparents they are.  I never knew how much fun it would be to see them interacting with my children.  It is FUN.  I'm so grateful that they want to be a part of my children's lives, and that they make an effort to come see us several times a year, even though it is a hike.  Thank you Mom and Dad!

Day One

I am going to participate in something I stumbled across today:

Beginning today.

I am so grateful for my little family.  I have an amazing husband who is intelligent, handsome and loves me, just the way I am.  I have a bright, adorable three year old son.  Though we struggle some days, the moments when he says things like he did as I put him to bed tonight, "Mommy, you're the best mommy," make all the other stuff soooo worth it.  And my six month old daughter-the sweetest little thing you ever saw.  I can't wait to see how my kids change and grow and the little people they will become.  I am grateful today for my family.  I honestly never though I would have one.  I thought I'd never find love, and then I did.   Then we thought for years that we'd never be able to have children, and now we do.

I am GRATEFUL.

What are you grateful for?

Three weeks in!

Rendi is three weeks old today!

Exciting stuff going on!!  New products are being added daily.  I love going to the website and checking to see what new beautiful things have been added.  I'm busy planning out my Christmas list of gifts to order!  I got my sample pack so I have products to show off at my shows and parties.  My favorite is this one:

I have it hanging in our living room.  I have decided that it is the only wedding gift I will be giving from now on--it is BEAUTIFUL!!!   So thick and smooth, and bright.  There are other designs in this same shape of clipboard/frame.

Also big news:  I had a press release about my business get picked up by Yahoo! News!!!!  http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20101019/bs_prweb/prweb4662004_3

Happy Birthday Rendi!

Rendi launched at 2pm EST today!!!  On a conference call, we got to toast with Annie Danielson, president and founder of Rendi, as well as meet the rest of the corporate team, as we all kicked off this exciting new adventure called Rendi!! Stylist kits are being packed up and sent out as I write this.  Everyone is so excited.  You can just feel the buzz whenever you speak/chat/email with anyone else related to Rendi.  I think we all feel that we are on the brink of something amazing and wonderful and BIG!!

You can be a part of it too!  There is such opportunity for growth with Rendi, my friends!  At this early stage, you will be one of the first Rendi stylists, if not THE first, in your area.  What that means for you is--you'll have a wide open market for sales and for team-building!  Years from now, you can look at your large and growing team of amazing women, and be so thankful that you jumped in on the ground floor!!  If you still aren't sure, maybe the opportunity to be a part of a select group of women called The Founder's Club will entice you!!

At least come back on Monday, and check out my new website, where you can play around with the best customization experience on the web!!  See some beautiful art pieces that you can make your own!  Such great gifts!!

I hope your day is filled with simple gifts!

Tomorrow is the official Rendi launch!!! You'll be able to check out my Rendi webpage (this link won't be active until tomorrow) to see what all the fuss is about!!

I'm so excited!! Last night I was on two conference calls--one was with Annie Danielson, the founder and president of Rendi.  She has SUCH enthusiasm and vision for Rendi, but more than anything, she's excited and committed to helping to empower women!  It is so refreshing!

The second call was with Melody Ross!!!!!  Yes,  THE Melody Ross, of Brave Girls fame.  She is one of the Rendi designers of the awesome home decor and picture frames!! Wait until you see Melody's designs!! They will blow you away!  If you aren't already familiar with Melody, check out Brave Girls or Melody's blog.  Melody and her sister Kathy have some really exciting ideas for our Brave Girls Rendi Team!!

I can't wait to see what is in store with us with Rendi!!  I know it will be BIG!!!  Come join us and be a Brave Girl on my Simple Gifts team!!  With this being such a new company (but with LOTS of industry experience!), and so far only about 100 stylists nationwide, the opportunity you will have for sales and team building are HUGE!!!!  Sign up now (make sure to list me, Jessica Russell) on your application as your sponsor), or talk to me for more information first!!  If you aren't sure yet, let me know anyway, and you can call in to our next conference call next Wednesday!

Rendi! Rendi! Rendi!!!

May your days be blessed with Simple Gifts!

Why Simple Gifts?

In the past I have found myself in a place repeatedly, where I am not sure what I want out of life, where I'm not sure who I am, where I feel a little lost.  Maybe you know this place?  I have spent years beating myself up for failures, perceived by me and by others.  I have spent years trying to figure out how to please others, and often feeling that I'm doing a terrible job.  Daily, for most of my adult life, I have found fault with some part of myself or the decisions I make or the things I say or think or do...

I am DONE with that!  I don't need to please anyone.  I only need to be true to myself and love my family and friends.  I am beautiful and perfect just the way I am--I do not need to change myself so that I fit with someone else's view of what I should be.  Saying these things makes me feel free.  I can quit focusing on the negative and begin focusing on all of the simple gifts of life!

Remember this song-----????

'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free,
'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gain'd,
To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd,
To turn, turn will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right.

That is what I feel like--like I've suddenly come down right where I ought to be.  I am a mom, which for years seemed an impossible dream.  I have a two beautiful children.  I am blessed to be staying home with them.  I have a fantastic husband.  I have a loving family, and a (partial) roof over my head.  Just ask me if you want to know the joke behind that one!  I'm in "the place just right."     I also feel like I am in the right place at the right time with my decision to become Ohio's first Rendi stylist.  If you are wondering what that is, just click the link, and imagine yourself being in the right place at the right time too!

My quick take on Rendi--I think this company will be BIG!  The founder/president, as well as every person I've come in contact with related to the company has SUCH incredible vision for the future.  The concept is exciting, and different!  As the company states, "this is not your grandmother's home party."   You and your customers can bring their laptops to the parties, and begin customizing beautiful gifts on the best customization website out there!  Once their gifts (which, by the way, are made IN THE USA, and using eco-friendly materials) are ordered, within 48 business hours, they will be finished and on their way back to your customer!  That kind of customer service is unheard of, especially for personalized items!   The training and support and even friendship from folks within the company is, in my opinion, unparalleled. Just to give you an example, they just sent me an e-card!   There are even training calls with company employees weekly!!  We've even gotten to hear from some of the wonderful artists of our products, and the president/founder!  I've had personal contact with so many people already, and I just know I'll have support in every aspect of my business.  One last thing, because I said this would be quick--have you ever wondered how the "big shots" in companies like Pampered Chef, Stampin' Up! or other direct sales companies are doing so well?  I bet that a big part of that for many of them is that they have been with the company since close to the beginning and have been able to build a large team.  With Rendi, YOU will have that opportunity!  There are some states where there are NO stylists, yet, and I think there are still only about 100 of us across the country!  The market is WIDE open for sale and team-building!

Oh, and one more thing--I'm part of the BRAVE GIRLS team of Rendi!!!  I {heart} Brave Girls Club SOOOO much!  Go see their site, sign up for the Daily Truth emails!! You will be so inspired and moved.  Oh yeah, and this is cool too--Melody Ross, OF Brave Girls fame is one of the amazing designers/artists who have created many of the Rendi products!!!!  I SOOOOOO want to go to Brave Girls Camp someday!!!

Our official launch is October 1st, just two days away!  But you can get in on the ground floor!  I'd love for you to join me in this endeavor!  Just send me an email at jessi dot create at gmail dot com.  I'll be glad to give you a call and chat with you about the Rendi opportunity, or if email is more your style, we can chat it up via email!  If you decide to sign up on the spot, please remember to list me as your sponsor--and contact me if you have any questions!!

May your day be filled with Simple Gifts!
Jessi
